Vintage Spanish Terracotta Clay Cooking Pot

A large, vintage glazed cooking pot, with lid and carrying handles.

Made from terracotta clay, the beautiful piece of Spanish cookware features a black and orange glazed finish in traditional Spanish design.

Also known as cazuelas, cooking pots such as these are traditionally used to for cooking slow simmered foods such as stews, soups and paella.

The pot is glazed on the inside to prevent food from soaking into the porous surface and is suitable for both cooking, serving and storing food. However, due to the vintage nature of this item we do recommend that it is soaked and cured before use.
