Antique Pine Military Blanket Chest, 19th Century

A substantial antique pine military chest from the 19th Century in original paint with carrying handles on each side. Issued to Captain Houstoun of the 4th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.

Possibly belonging to Captain George Houstoun-Boswall who served in the battalion in 1895 before transferring to the Grenadier Guards in 1900, he died in 1915 during the Battle of Loos.
Hinged lid opens to reveal expansive internal storage.

In good condition with wear and tear appropriate for age and use.

Smaller items will be packaged up securely and sent via parcel - you will be provided with a tracking reference once your order has been dispatched.

For larger items we use a trusted network of couriers to deliver your order safely. This usually takes the form of a two man team who will confirm a three hour delivery time slot to you the day before delivery is due. On the day of delivery, they also provide regular updates on their route progress.

We are able to accept returns but this will be at buyer's cost (unless otherwise agreed).
