A stunning fruitwood table from 18th century rural France.

The table features a planked top with cleated ends and houses a singular deep drawer, historically used for proving dough.

This piece displays a beautiful patination and is raised on straight legs with a decorative lower quad stretcher for support.

Condition:
In rustic antique condition with wear and tear appropriate for age and use including knocks, scuffs and age related splits. Structurally sound but evidence of historic woodworm throughout which is no longer active. There is a split to the inside of the drawer as pictures and a small piece of moulding is missing from the base of one of the legs, also pictured. There has been an historic repair to the center part of the cross stretcher.

Use coasters, placemats, and protective pads to prevent water rings, heat damage, or scratches.

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges.

To maintain the waxed finish, use a high-quality furniture wax in a shade that matches the existing patina.
