The chest is features a rich deep green painted finish, with contrasting running throughout piece with hand-painted lettering across the fronts of the drawers. Each drawer is fitted with decorative brass handles.

The top which features nice moulded edges is finished with a beautifully painted scene depicting a sailing ship. The piece is constructed what is most likely a mahogany veneer, and stands on a solid plinth base.

A unique yet practical piece that works well as bedroom storage or as a sideboard in a hallway or living room.

Condition

In good antique condition with wear and tear appropriate for age and use to include age related knocks and scuffs. There is some damage to the veneer to the front of the piece along the bottom edge as can been seen in photographs, as well as some paintloss to the top. May display signs of historic woodworm, which is no longer active and has been retreated as a precaution.
