A large Victorian pine chest of drawers featuring a stunning hand-painted Florentine-style design in blue and white.

• Five drawers, graduating in depth
• Painted wooden knobs with mother of pearl inlay
• Later painted freehand with a Florentine-style design
• Raised on turned bun feet

The chest features five drawers arranged in a two over three formation, each fitted with a pair of turned painted wooden knobs set with mother of pearl inlay. The whole piece sits on turned bun feet.

The piece has been later painted freehand in a beautiful blue and white Florentine-style design throughout, with a wonderful chippy finish that reveals the original scumble paintwork peeping through in places.

Condition

In good antique condition with wear and tear appropriate for age and use to include age related knocks and scuffs. May display signs of historic woodworm which is no longer active and will have been retreated as a precaution.
