An authentic Victorian four drawer pine chest from the 19th century.

• Original pressed glass knobs
• Classic turned bun feet
• Rear gallery upstand
• Two small over two full-width drawers

This four-drawer chest is built in a traditional two-over-two layout, featuring a light pine patina sealed with clear wax. The top is designed with rounded corners and a functional gallery upstand at the back, a feature originally used to stop items falling behind the piece. It is raised on turned bun feet and retains its full original set of pressed glass knobs.

It would be well-suited for use in a bedroom to store clothes or placed in a hallway for linens. It would also make a functional sideboard in a living room.

Dimensions

Width 95.5 cm x Depth 53 cm x Total Height 91 cm. Height to top 84 cm.

Condition

In good antique condition with wear and tear appropriate for age and use to include knocks, scuffs and age related splits. May show signs of historic woodworm, this is no longer active and will have been retreated as a precaution. There is some wood-loss to the feet as pictured.
