Early 20th Century French Painted Cupboard with Drawers

SKU: JC01342

An early 20th century French cupboard in its original soft green painted finish, constructed in pine and full of rustic character.

Behind the two panelled cupboard doors sits a bank of eight drawers, graduated in depth with the largest at the base.

Each drawer has a slatted base — suggesting the piece may have once been used to store fruit, vegetables or dry goods — likely in a French country pantry or kitchen.

Raised on a shaped plinth and finished with a overhanging cornice to the top, this is a striking and highly usable piece with plenty of practical internal storage.
