19th Century Painted Pine Writing Desk

A beautiful late 19th century pine writing desk with scumble finish and decorative overpainted details.

Raised on elegant tall, ring turned legs this piece features a flat writing surface to the top with a shaped gallery comprising of two small drawers, two pigeon holes and a small central cupboard. A single frieze drawer sits beneath.

Complete with working locks and keys, this is a functional and highly decorative piece.

Width 73.5 c x Depth 51 cm x Height 117 cm. Height to desk top 76 cm. Height to lower drawer 60 cm.

In good antique condition with wear and tear appropriate for age and use. The paintwork is in an overall good condition however there are some chips and wear as to be expected for a piece of this age. The shaped top has had a split in is as shown in the pictures.
