19th Century Antique Pine Settle

A distinctive high-back pine settle from the 19th century featuring hooded top and winged sides.

Of traditional design with a deep, planked seat and high back.

Sealed with furniture wax to enhance existing patina.

Its deep seat and high back are ideal for a spare wall in the kitchen, or even in the hallway, offering a distinctive and characterful addition to your home.

Materials:
Constructed from pine wood.

Era:
Late 19th Century (1800's).

Condition:
In good antique condition with wear and tear appropriate for age and use to include a split to one of the back boards as can be seen in the photographs and historic repairs. Evidence of old woodworm throughout which is no longer active and has been re-treated as a precautions.

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges.

To maintain the waxed finish, use a high-quality furniture wax in a shade that matches the existing patina.

Avoid dragging items across the surface and ensure heavy objects are lifted rather than pushed.
